Doing great

All of Jordan's blood counts are up and he is feeling great. He even went back to preschool yesterday, Yeah!! He will start the maintenance phase on valentines day. Maintenance will last until October of 2007. He will go in monthly for a check-up and a vincristine injection (the one that sometimes causes joint pain and incoordination). Every 3 months he will have a spinal starting next week. At home he will take the steroids for 5 days at the beginning of each month and will take another pill daily and a thrid drug weekly. It sounds like a lot but it's not that bad compared to what he's already been through. His hair will grow back and his cell counts should stay high enough to do all the normal things. We will start slowing down on entries to this site as things won't be changing much. It has been a great journal for us so I will try to update it every 1-2 months.

Jim and I are going to be participating in a fundraiser for the leukemia society and wanted to let you all know about it. It is the Big Climb for leukemia and is a race up the stairs of the Bank of America building here in Seattle. It is on Sunday, March 20th. If you are local and want to participate we would love it. I have formed a team and you can register online at www.lls.org/wa/bigclimb. The team name is Team Jordan and put my name as the team captain. If you cannot race but would like to donate go to www.active.com/donate/bigclimb05/LKreyen.

A huge thankyou to everyone for the tremendous support we have received. In the past 5 1/2 months I have cooked maybe 5 times. I am not kidding! Meals just kept showing up. The cards, flowers, prayers, and well wishes from everyone farther away have meant so much. We feel so blessed by all of you. With love, Lara (and Jim, Noah, Jordan)

Great news! You have all been champions through a very tough phase in Jordan's life. Thank you so much for continuing to share his progress and we will definitely look forward to hearing about Jordan's great life for several years. We look forward to seeing you during your next trip to Legoland!

What fantastic news!

We have not been contributors to your website to date, but we have been frequent visitors, reading and hoping for positive updates. What a courageous little boy you have! Our older boys (Colin and Patrick) have said a prayer for Jordan every night since we heard the news, and I am convinced that God listens to kids' prayers first! I hope all continues to go well.

We are so glad that things are going well for Jordan. We have read your comments from time to time and remembered to pray for Jordan and all of you. My mom has been climbing stairs to try and do the fundraiser on the 20th. Wish we could be there too. We will be in Seattle in May and also in July to visit Thomas the Tank engine. I would love to see you and the boys.
